Our speakers are all behavioral health experts who will share their knowledge on various adolescent wellness topics.
Leslie Oleck,
Mental Health NP and Family Therapist
Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice. Leslie is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing, where she earned her degrees as a psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist (PMHCNS) and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). She has over 40 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse in various settings, including a solo practice of psychotherapy with a specific interest in trauma survivors. Leslie currently serves as the President of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA). Leslie has been active in the community, serving on the boards of multiple nonprofits including the Christamore Guild, the ISO North Group Board, and the Actor’s Theater Guild.
dr. beth bonham,
Ph.D. Child and Adolescent Therapist
Dr. Bonham is an award-winning Associate Professor Emerita of Nursing at the University of Southern Indiana where she taught in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. As an educator, author, clinical nurse specialist, and leader, Dr. Bonham is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatric mental health nursing with experience in acute care, public health, school mental health, and not for profit advocacy settings. She received BSN and MSN degrees from Indiana University and PhD in nursing research from the University of Arizona. Her clinical areas of interest are community-based interventions and access to care while her research interests focus on mental health issues of youthful offenders, mentoring, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Bonham is a Past President of the International Society of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurses (ISPN) of which she is a Founding Member, a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
Dr. Kelly McManus,
M.D., Board-Certified Pediatrician
Dr. McManus is a board-certified pediatrician with nearly 20 years of experience working with children and families. She is a native of Zionsville, Indiana, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She attended the IU School of Medicine and then completed her residency in Pediatrics at IU-Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. McManus is currently providing patient care at Axon Health Associates. She is committed to providing compassionate care to children and parents struggling with anxiety, depression, attention and or focus issues, executive functioning deficits, oppositional behavior, and parent-child communication.
dr. sarah henning, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Sarah Lowery Henning, Ph.D.- Dr. Henning is a licensed psychologist who completed her master’s degree at Indiana University and doctoral training at Arizona State University. For the last 10 years, she has been in private practice in Indianapolis. Dr. Henning works with patients ranging in age from high school to adult. She specializes in depression, anxiety, transitions, ADHD, eating disorders, and career assessment. Dr. Henning has also worked in a variety of settings including hospitals and cancer treatment centers.
